ESR was founded in 1989 by Derek Bell with a single focus: to deliver repair work that met the standard of the vehicles entrusted to him. From a modest workshop in Earlwood, Sydney NSW, the business built its reputation one vehicle at a time through consistency, care, and an uncompromising standard of work. Over the next two decades, ESR became known not for its size, but for its standards, trusted by insurers, manufacturers, and a growing network of discerning clients.

In 2011, the opening of our purpose-built Campsie facility marked a defining step forward, setting a new benchmark for the industry and establishing what is now ESR’s headquarters. With a generational transition in leadership came a renewed focus blending legacy craftsmanship with innovation, global alignment, and the ambition to lead at the highest level.

That vision took form in 2025 with the opening of ESR Alexandria, a flagship facility regarded as one of the most advanced collision repair centres in the world.
